But the serious lack of due diligence makes it a reluctant vote. Cathy simply made mistakes, in part, due to the company that she was working for did not provide her with all of the documents needed to provide a complete report. Republicans continue to focus on “sinless perfection” in candidates and it is killing us. Just go to the the Ethics Commission website and view the Collin County candidates and incumbents who exercised a lack of due diligence. If screwing up your paperwork permanently excludes one from public service, then we can no longer vote for Jodie, Jerry, Matt, and about 30 more very conservative candidates and incumbents. We really need to get over this requiring sinless perfection thing.
